BR 2-09: Amelia Bedelia

"It was so good Mrs. Rogers forgot about being angry." (p. 60)

I thought Amelia Bedelia was an interesting woman, but she had no common sense. I found that using English was very difficult. Mrs. Rogers said "draw the drapes when the sun comes in," the  sun will not to fade the furniture, but Amelia Bedelia drew the drapes on a piece of paper. Mrs. Rogers said "put the lights out when you finish in the living room," meant turned off the lights, but Amelia Bedelia unscrewed bulbs and they were aired out. Of course, Mr. and Mrs. Rogers were angry with her funny actions, but they forgot that when a lemon-meringue pie which Amelia Bedelia made. It was very good taste. Mr. and Mrs. Rogers decided that she must stay their house. In addition, Mrs. Rogers learned to change how to order to do housework for Amelia Bedelia.
